BENGALI SWEET CURD/YOGHURT [MISHTI DOI]

Hi! everyone,yesterday learn't this typical Bengali sweet dish from one of my friends.For bengalis this sweet dish is a must in every elaborate festival or celebration. Ofcourse in Kolkata , it is readily available in every sweet-meat shop, so no one tries to make it at home. But here thousands of miles away from home, we do crave for such things. While discussing mishti dahi with my friend, she gave me this easy way of making it. I added in a little of my touch also and it turned out to be so delicious. My earnest request to my viewers is, please do try it. One just cant go wrong with this dessert......... INGREDIENTS: 1. Curd or yoghurt 1 kg [thick][if there is water drain it out] curd should be fresh and not too sour. 2. Condense milk 1 full tin 3. Milk powder 1 cup[full cream whole milk powder] 4. CHATPATA SWEETCORN

Friends, these days the American corns are available in the market in abundance.Its not only tasty but also healthy for everyone.So try this dish and serve a tasty treat to your loved ones. INGREDIENTS: 1. Sweetcorn 3 big size [boiled in the pressure cooker for 10mins] 2. Onion 1large [chopped fine] 3. Garlic 4 pods [crushed] 4. Green chilli 1[chopped] 5. Red chilli flakes 1tsp 6. Butter 1 tbsp 7. Dry mango powder 1 tsp 8. Roasted cumminseed 1tsp 9. Lemon juice 1tbsp 10. Fresh corriander leaves 1/4 cup[chopped] 11. Green peas 1 cup[boiled] 12. Tomato 1 [chopped after removing the skin] 13. Salt and sugar to taste 14. Chat masala 1tsp METHOD: Scrape the boiled corn. Heat butter in a nonstick pan. Fry the garlic till golden brown. Add the onion and fry. Add the corn seeds and fry well. Add all the spices , salt and sugar. Fry well for 3 to 4 mins on low heat. Add the lemon juice. Add the peas and tomato and stir lightly. SUPREME PINEAPPLE DELIGHT

Hi readers, Surely try this out.This is the right season to make pineapple dishes .The kids at home will love it. INGREDIENTS: 1. Pineapple 1 full [remove skin and eyes and make thick 1/4 inch round slices] 2. Honey as per requirement. 3. Roasted mixed nuts [half cup to 1 cup] 4. Butter 1 tbsp 5. Fresh grated coconut 1 cup[ roast till golden in colour with a little butter] 6. Whipped cream 1 1/2 cup 7. Ice cream 1lt [pineapple or vanilla] METHOD: Heat a non stick frying pan. Brush butter on it. Place the pineapple slices evenly on it. Roast on low heat till golden brown on both sides. Place each slice on individual serving dish. Drip honey over it with the help of a fork. Sprinkle nuts and coconut over it. Put a scoop of ice cream on the pineapple slice. Lastly decorated with whipped cream . PS: You can take the help of a piping bag to decorate the cream. Sprinkle little roasted coconut to finish.
